- Blvd Park is all heart, with talent and musicianship to boot. Haunting, raw, and edgy male vocals (Brian Ballentine), weave stories of drunken bar fights, nights in the desert; and the occasional lamentation of love's losses, while managing to ease their way into your confidence. Ballentine is backed by sweet, near-constant harmonies, both female and male (Tekla Waterfield, Jarrett Mason and Timothy Conroy) with the frequent switching of back to lead (each member takes a turn or two as lead). Trumpet, double bass, banjo, snare drum, fiddle, melodica and fife complete the picture.
Swingin' bar tune sing-a-longs, heart-tugging love ballads, Blvd Park is foot stompin', body swaying, Americana/folk at its best.
